Hi! We’re Julia and Nicklas, both from 1998.

We met in a hostel in the Philippines while we were both backpacking solo. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into a shared adventure, and we’ve been travelling together ever since.

Australia became our home base for the past few years. During that time, we built two camper vans ourselves and explored much of the country on the road. Whenever we have the chance, we’re off exploring somewhere new. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, making the most of a long layover, or a longer backpacking trip, we love discovering new places and travelling at our own pace.

Although we enjoy wandering through cities, nature is what we love most. We’d love to see every corner of the world one day, but we’re in no rush. We’d rather spend longer in fewer places than race through a long bucket list.

When we first started travelling, we planned everything around the lowest possible budget. Over time, our style has evolved. Today, we still travel on a budget, but we’ve learned to balance affordability with comfort. Whether it’s a beachfront coffee, a room with air conditioning, or staying somewhere with a beautiful view, we’ve realised that some experiences are worth the extra cost.

We also prefer exploring independently. Instead of joining organised tours, we enjoy figuring things out ourselves. We believe that’s often the best way to experience a destination.
